The Automobile Damping and Silencing Sheet DC40-01A is a cutting-edge accessory designed to mitigate noise and vibration during braking. As a vital part of automobile brake pads, it is mounted directly onto the steel backing plate, where it actively absorbs and dissipates the energy created by friction between the brake pad and rotor. This targeted damping effect not only reduces audible noise but also minimizes structural vibrations, contributing to a more refined driving experience.
The brake system’s architecture revolves around three core components:
Brake Lining (Friction Material): Generates the necessary friction to slow or stop the vehicle.
Steel Backing Plate (Metal Component): Provides structural support and heat dissipation.
Damping and Silencing Pads: Absorb and neutralize noise and vibrations.
Silencing Principle:
Brake noise is primarily caused by friction-induced vibrations between the brake pad’s friction plate and the rotor. When these vibrations travel through the brake system, the sound wave intensity undergoes two critical transitions: first, from the friction lining to the steel backing plate, and second, from the steel backing plate to the silencing pad. The layered phase resistance and strategic resonance avoidance mechanisms inherent in the DC40-01A design work synergistically to attenuate noise frequencies, resulting in a quieter, more comfortable ride.

The thickness of metal substrate is between 0.2mm-0.8mm. The maximum width is 1000mm.The thickness of rubber coating is between 0.02-0.12mm.Single and double side NBR rubber coated metal material can meet different customers' requirements. Good shock absorption and noise reduction effect. Cost-effective, can replace imported materials.
The surface of the material to do anti-scratch treatment, with high strength scratch performance, the surface colour can also be customized according to customer demand for red, blue, silver and other non-communicable colours. According to customer demand, we can also produce the cloth pattern coated sheet without any grain.
